Typical Weekly Activities
Every day, we offer a range of activities for residents to take part in to ensure everyone shares an enjoyable atmosphere. All activities are optional, so everybody has a choice of how they spend their time here. We have a full-time dedicated activities coordinator which demonstrates our commitment to ensuring residents are able to have as active a lifestyle as possible. We also bring in external activities every week to provide a diversified list of activities for residents. For example, art therapist Grace Newman comes to the Home every Wednesday at 11am to offer painting classes to our residents. Paintings residents have finished are displayed prominently at the Home.
We try to take on board our residents’ suggestions and are always looking for ways to broaden the range of activities we offer. One of the ways we do this is by holding monthly residents meetings attended by residents, their relatives, and staff.
Our close bond with the people we care for means we are constantly aware of their changing needs and can tailor our recreation programme to suit their desires. Some residents want to visit Warwick to go shopping or simply enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. Our carers will take residents out when they ask, blending independence with protection and peace of mind.
We have our own mini-bus and are able to take residents and their families on day-trips.
